Many software programmers who author code using MS Visual Studio are accustomed to using the MSDN library as one of their main resource tools. By integrating MEI's HTML Help with MSDN, you will be able to perform global searches and use the F1 button within MS Visual Studio for MEI-specific terms. For example, you can select MPIControlConfig within MS Visual Studio, press F1, and MEI's documentation page for MPIControlConfig will appear.

Step 1
Download a freeware program from the web called MSDN Integration Utility by Codejock Software. Go to http://www.codeproject.com/winhelp/msdnintegrator.asp and click on the MSDN Integration Utility link.

If you have not already downloaded the necessary MEI's HTML Help files (support_motioneng.chi and support_motioneng.chm), go to http://support.motioneng.com/pdf_notes/main_frame.html and download them to your computer.

Step 3
Locate the support_motioneng.chi and support_motioneng.chm files. Insert a Title for the new library that you're adding to MSDN, and insert a Unique Identifier for the library.

Step 4
Click the Integrate with MSDN button.

Step 5
Open the MSDN Library. You should now see MEI's On-line Documentation library as an option.
