Introduction
The
XMP Configuration Utility provides a means of configuring the
XMP using text files. The text files contain symbolic configuration
data for MPI objects in a format that is independent of firmware
version. You can get configuration data for MPI objects from XMP
RAM or flash memory and save it to a text file. Similarly, you
can load configuration data for MPI objects from a text file and
set either XMP RAM or flash memory. Command line arguments to
the config utility make it possible to selectively configure MPI
objects.
The
config utility makes it easy to upgrade to a new release of XMP
firmware while retaining custom firmware configuration. It is
also easy to configure the XMP without writing any code.
